This conference is for all agencies interested in using Restorative Practice and Family Group Conferencing in their work. It is an opportunity to showcase excellent practice in the UK and beyond and to share experiences and lessons learned. This is a conference for everyone – managers, leaders, academics, practitioners and policy makers across all disciplines. This year we are including accounts of work in Hull and Leeds to become restorative cities, including practice from police, education, social care, community organisations, youth justice and others.
This two day conference features experienced and inspirational plenary speakers including Paul Nixon, New Zealand’s current chief Social Worker, and Mike Doolan, one of the pioneers of family group conferencing, plus a wide variety of workshops across all sectors including Youth Justice Service, Social Care, Police, Business, Education, and Multi-Agency operations using RP in many other areas.
The conference is arranged as flexibly as possible; delegates can book a single day or both days, and full details of the workshop schedule and speakers will appear on this website as the agenda develops. Preferential rates for accommodation have been secured at the Mercure Hotel, Ferensway, but please note that delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodation. Please quote the conference name to obtain delegate rates. If you have any questions about transport, accommodation or the conference in general that are not answered here or on the website, please call the HCRP office on +44 (0)1482 594347 for help.
Details of workshops are available by clicking here to download the pdf, and participants will be able to choose which they wish to attend on the day.
